My friend Brittain Ashford wrote this song a while ago and when I first heard it there was something about it, lyrically and melodically, that really stuck with me. It is my favorite of her songs and knew I would cover it eventually. As it happens, I’ll be playing drums in her band on tour next week and I figured the time to record it was right.

That said, this might the last thing I put up for a little while as the tour goes from Boston to Seattle, then Ruby and I will be bicycling/camping down the West Coast to San Francisco. If you care to see me play, I know for sure there are two dates I’ll be performing my own songs:

Sunday, June 14th in Chicago at The Town Hall Pub with comedy and music by Beth Stelling, The Puterbaugh Sisters and Brittain Ashford respectively.

Sunday, June 21st in Seattle at a house show (3602 NE 75th St. Seattle, WA 98115) where my buddies live. Louis O’Callahan of The Graze will also be performing.

I look forward to seeing you all, sooner or later.
